Details

Montessori International Academy, which is a child’s educational facility and had run their educational services in Costa Mesa, California, planned to move their location to Santa Ana, California. This is a project for designing and constructing their new facility.

Challenges

1. Design for PRE SCHOOL
Our design placed the focus on safety and environment for children so that they spend their time in a pleasant and comfortable manner.
On the safety side, we adopt use of rubber-made floor materials that will protect children from injury even when they bump into something or when they take a fall, whereas, on the environmental side, we adopt use of nontoxic paint.

2. Consulting Type Design
Under limited investment, what should we focus on? What should we reduce? What should we do this time? What is expected to be done in the future? -- while pursuing the answers to these questions along with the client, we proposed a consulting-type design approach that helps make investment more effective and includes analysis of construction costs.
