DETAILS

We have supported JFC International, the biggest oversea Japanese food distribution center (160,000SF), to move its main corporate office in the United States from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Our works includes: site selection, negotiation, management and construction of a food distribution center using WMS (Warehouse management system) and WCS (Warehouse control system).
This process involved installing three temperature-zone frozen refrigerator systems and other related equipment. We coordinated subcontractors, supported value-engineering, and worked as a project manager for planning and construction throughout the project.
For JFC's grand opening ceremony, our creative design department created the company brochure, DVD, and other marketing tools. After completion of construction, we took on all maintenance for facilities and equipment.

CHALLENGES

A good timing, enforcement of appropriate communication
Subordinate responsibility in this project was delegated among client, architect, construction, construction management, WMS•WCS system and three temperature-zone frozen refrigerator systems - while each had its own project manager. The client demanded to receive a real-time progress report.
We were named overall project manager on this project, from beginning to completion, and we supplied ongoing project and construction management services to the client. We have managed to complete everything within the limited cost and time.
