DETAILS
We had a contract with JAE Electronics to design and construct their offices and a product repairing center, located near Houston, Texas. We have worked on this project from the beginning until the end, starting with a vacant lot in a remote location, while assigning our design developer as the project manager.
CHALLENGES
1. Building Under Special Conditions (Non-Magnetic Building)
The calibration building needed to be a non-magnetic building, meaning that no metals should be used throughout the building in order to not interfere with any electric measuring instruments.
To address this restriction, we explored many possible challenges during the design stage, including the location of the building and the materials used.
During the construction, we also carried out strict quality control, conducting meticulous tests and inspections to prevent metal contamination and ensuring that all nails used were made with a specific, non-magnetic type of stainless steel.
2. Large-Scale Project in a Remote Location
We worked on this project with an on-site coordinator and business partners to ensure quality and speed.
The project proceeded with a remote management style which includes: generating weekly reports, holding a weekly meeting and sending both instructions and reports in a timely manner.
